Rust-Converter is a water-borne metal primer specifically designed for application on rusty areas. This primer not only encapsulates existing rust, hindering its spread, but also provides protection against further corrosion by enhancing the surface's resistance to moisture.
Presented as a blue, turbid liquid, Rust-Converter undergoes a chemical reaction with rust, resulting in the formation of a stable black surface. It is important to note that this product is intended solely for use on rusted surfaces.
For comprehensive corrosion protection, it is recommended to coat the treated surface with a water-borne top coat such as Isoxyde or Metal Primer WB. This two-step process ensures the effective prevention of rust and contributes to the durability of the metal surface.
